Welcome to the 10th Anniversary National Security Australia 2012

2012 Event Highlights:

To commemorate the event's impressive 10-year history the event moved from Sydney to Melbourne and took place at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground, giving delegates and speakers alike the opportunity to marvel at and take photos of the 100,000 seat MCG upon arrival and during breaks.

Wednesday saw the conference kick off with Keynote Addresses from the Attorney-General's Department and Australia's Ambassador for Counter-Terrorism, and led to a day of case studies and sessions on terrorism, counter terrorism and cyber crime.

At the end of day one delegates enjoyed networking drinks and took the opportunity to discuss the day's presentations with their colleagues from across Australia.

The event's second day opened with New Scotland Yard's DAC Janet Williams giving a very well-received keynote presentation entitled, "Cyber Crime - Do We Understand the Threat? What should our responses look like?" This was followed by keynote presentations from The US's Center for International Policy and Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. The day wound up with sessions on Fraud & Organised Crime and Critical Infrastructure Protection.
